TESC- Financial ideas for a new dl student

Hi, I am trying to help a new dl student who has around 90 credits to transfer to TESC. She has applied for financial aid and will receive some money. The tricky part is the initial evaluation fee. What outside source could supply that money? Ideas appreciated. Thanks. Hille

 

You indicate she will get some financial aid, so I assume she has filled out the FAFSA. Next, check out scholarships and grants online at places like www.fastweb.com. If that fails, she could always try a personal loan through a credit union, if she is a member of one. Their loan standards aren't quite as strict as a regular bank, and they are pretty flexible if they know it is an education loan. Worst case scenario: put it on a low-rate credit card and pay it off over time.
