OK, I'm studying with the Idiot's Guide, Barron's Keys, & skimming the Norton Anthology. It's making me nervous not having any practice tests other than the Official Guide. How do I know that I'm prepared??
There's the Petersen's practice tests... But I honestly can't remember how hit or miss they were compared to the real test. I used the Barron Ez101 English lit and Wikipedia. I heard bad reviews about the usability of the Idiot's Guide for the CLEP, so I avoided it. (Unlike the American Literature CLEP,) about 50-60% of the test is pretty much the same type as Analyzing and Interpreting Literature. If you have a pretty solid grasp on that, its a good start. You definitely need something more depth-wise than the Barrons, as I said previously, I used the Wikipedia to supplement the book. I will say though, I was quite pleased with the layout and content of the Barrons book.
No, there isn't a Peterson's. Unless I'm blind, or something. Really?? Because I heard great things about the Idiot's Guide... Hmmm. I got a 74 on the Analyzing Lit test, so I'm not too worried about that part, but I'm purely awful at identifying poetic meter and such of the like, how important is that? Shouldn't this be moved to the test section?? I found it through search and I had no idea it was in this area =\ ;]
No, you're right... There isn't a Petersons test for it... I was thinking of Am Lit, which I took right after English Lit.
