I would like to know what you guys think about this...

I am planning on transferring NA units to a RA school and receive a BSBA. If I plan to attend a RA grad school, how will this look? Do they just require only a Bachelor’s degree to be admitted? Or do they need to see where the units came from?

    Any help is appreciated

    Thanks

I am not quite sure what you mean. Any RA grad school is going to want your transcripts, and your transcripts will show where and how you got your credits, at least from what I have seen this is the case. Now here schools can differ, I have seen those that did not care how many classes you clep out of, and others that had a limit, etc, etc, and others only required a Bachelors degree from an accreditted university (read:RA ?) and required GPA, but there are others on this board that can better answer your questions, or better yet, contact the schools you are interested in applying to and ask them.

Because grad schools often ask for all your transcripts, you might have to send them one from your NA school. This may or may not affect your admission. I suspect the impact will be far less than you fear. And you may want to omit the NA transcript entirely, sending in just the RA ones. This would be akin to sending in an RA transcript with CLEP credits on it, but not sending a CLEP transcript (which is how things are normally done).

This will depend solely on the school. Some schools will only be concerned about obtaining transcripts from the colleges where a degree was completed while others may want all transcripts regardless of whether or not you obtained a degree.

I would recommend just sending your transcripts from the college or colleges in which you have obtained a degree. Then call the school to verify that they have everything they need to admit you and let them tell you that they want your transcripts from your non-degree schools.

I transferred credits from an RA university to an RA university where I subsequently completed my BS. When I applied to graduate school to work on an MS, the university never asked for the transcripts from my non-degree university. When I applied to graduate school to work on a PhD, I was asked to send all transcripts. I sent them only after I was told that they needed them. Your admissions packet doesn’t go forward to the decision makers until your admissions packet is deemed complete.

I say don’t worry about it.
