Anyone know of any masters degrees relating to air traffic control or aviation business? Preferably DL. Thanks
According to BG14, pg 102, Central Missouri State offers a DL NonRes master's in aviation safety. Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University, with campuses in Florida and Arizona, offers a wide array of aviation-related degree programs. They also offer their programs in other cities via satellite campuses (like the one in Las Vegas). But they don't seem to be active in DL (at least according to BG). Rich Douglas
You may try Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University. The URL is http://www.ec.erau.edu/ddl/graduate.htm Ike
Hello, Vector! At the University of Western Sydney, you can study externally for a degree in Aviation Studies with concentrations in Aviation Education, Aviation Management, Aviation Security, Aviation Marketing, Human Factors in Aviation, etc. I suspect, though, that some of these classes require compulsory residency, but perhaps you can study for a general concentration in Aviation Studies and take classes that are fully available on an external basis. I hope this helps. My best regards, Karlos Albert Lacaye [email protected]
Hey! I forgot to mention that I seem to recall that there are other programs in aviation and aviation-related subjects. I don't have all of my books here, but if you E-mail me, I will try to give all pertinent information. Fraternally, Karlos Alberto Lacaye [email protected]
Riddle is probably the best known school with an Aviation bent. Ike posted the address for their DL programs. -me (commercial pilot)
I forgot to mention: The College of Aeronautics (at Laguardia Airport) has some DL programs, but I think you need to work for United Technologies in order to participate. -me
ERAU offers several aviation degrees thru their center for distance learning - check them out at http://www.db.erau.edu/catalog/undergraduate/programs/ I am currently doing my MAS thru ERAU but because of the scheduling I am doing it thru the extended campus (approx nine 5 hour class time/course)in conventional style.
Concordia U in Montreal has an MBA in Aviation Administration that can be done through DL (2 weeks/semester there, remainder through the NET, 4 semesters for the degree) I might do this one myself..... http://www.johnmolson.concordia.ca/programs/graduate/amba/about/Aviation%20Industry.html -me (Commercial Pilot, PhD, Very slowly working on a A&P)
