I have never heard of this institution, but I came across an ad for it in a magazine. They are RA. A decent find if you're into selling insurance or working in financial services. http://www.theamericancollege.edu/default.asp
Good short-residency school in Bryn Mawr, PA. Offers the MS in Financial Services and the MS in Management.
Actually I am a graduate of The American College (MS in Management). Since my graduation they have done away with the MSM and only have the MS in Financial Services and various designations (CLU, etc.) mostly related to the insurance industry. Good school. It is unfortunate that they did away with the management program though.
The American College is a pioneer in distance learning. It was founded in 1927 by Dr. Soloman S Huebner, a professor at the University of Pennsylvania Wharton School. It was originally organized for insurance professionals but has long since been expanded to serve the entire financial services industry. The College received its RA in 1978. I earned a couple of professional designations from them in the 80's. The courses were good for 48 hours of upper level credit. I built my concentration at COSC around these courses. It is probably one of the better kept secrets in DL.
Re: Re: The American College Looks like the MSM is still alive and well. [http://www.theamericancollege.edu/Prospective_Students/MSM/default.asp
Re: Re: Re: The American College Thanks Tom, this is good to know. I do not know why they every gave up the MSM but am glad that they have revived it. Gives them more global exposure.
