This is the standard spiel used by most. What's so 'non-US' about it? And what or who is UNE?

    Cheers,

I suppose nothing here is Non-US now that Howard is so far up Bush.

What do you mean ‘what or who is UNE’?

Mr Brown is being obtuse and must be excused today. His PhD is getting him down. Without Harman of UNE he wouldn't have completed his Masters as easily ... so he is aware of UNE - it is just one of his mood swings :D

We are friends and speak throughout each week, so don't feel sorry for him that he is likely to be offended ;)

Ok, seemed like a dig, but I didn’t get it.

On a separate note, would you mind if I copied your signature line: [Appropriately qualified academically and professionally]

It is brilliant and I’d like to use it as my own.

The institution abbreviated UNE is the University of New England, located in Armidale, NSW, Australia.

    Following Uncle Jacko...

...for which I was a former MBA student of, but dropped out mid-first semester when 700 of my colleauges died in a well-known attack on 9/11/2001.

UNE was extremely professional and their materials and instruction were top-notch. I hope to return to them one day after my education schedule lightens up one day.

The point of this thread is ...

DETC accreditation assures students that the institution meets at least some minimum standard so the student can make their own determination if the program meets their needs.

The point of the post is to highlight why foreign schools are becoming registered with DETC, as the question is often asked. It is also of note that their programs are only listed with DETC to masters level degrees, yet their doctoral programs are accredited at home.

Foreign schools like UNE do not do it for any accreditation purposes - they are already accredited in their home country, and i might add, at a level far above '...some minimum standard...'.
