    Hey,

I first want to thank everybody for their input the other afternoon on the other thread I started. In that post, I had asked about my concerns with the general / liberal studies degrees. About a week and a half prior to that, I had asked that my credits be reviewed at FHSU for the Bachelor of General Studies degree. The results were favorable. :)

Out of all the credits already transferred in, I have already earned enough in Business to fulfill one concentration there. Unfortunately, FHSU doesn't consider my English credits from AIU to be equivalent to their English 101 and 102 requirements, so I'll have to take those classes. But, I only need to take 9 more credits from FHSU (even though I'm sure I'll take more) and the 30 hour requirement will be filled. I'm thinking that this degree will be something that I'm very proud of once complete. I've also went ahead and discussed options with the HUX program at CSUDH. They told me that they generally don't give 18 credits in one particular discipline in the program -- but informed me I could do that (even though it would take me a little longer to complete). :)

    Cade,

good deal and good luck. Did you ask if FHSU had an in house exam to waive you out of Eng 101/102? Many schools have a challenge exam for lower level classes. The only problem is if you need the actual classes for programs at other schools. But, still good news.

    Takes one to know one

    Cade,

Best of luck at FHSU. As someone with a General Studies Bachelor degree, I don't think you'll have any issues with it's utility.
