I continue looking into schools to obtain my bachelors degree in business/finance. I want to concentrate in international business. It is imperative that the school I choose offers financial aid. Cost of tuition is also important. Sure, I'd like to go to Wharton but I am unable to afford it. Nor am I able to attend classes on campus. I am looking at getting the best program at the best price. It is also important that I do not get a degree that will be laughed at or frowned upon by future employers. The following are some schools I am really looking at closely: 1. Thomas Edison State College. 2. Strayer University. 3. UMASS on line If you have any recommendations on the above mentioned schools or any other suggestions, please tell me. Thank you.
UMass has a very good reputation. Go for it. You might also consider Upper Iowa University, Bellevue University, and University of Maryland University College. These are pretty affordable schools, not too expensive.
No criticism of TESC or Strayer or Ron Ling's options, but UMass is instantly recognizable as a major university even to one outside the field (like me).
Uncle's right -- if you're interested in a career in international business it would make sense to go with a name that will be recognized. UMass seems to fit that bill best, especially if the tuition is affordable. -=Steve=-
UMASS definately has a very good reputation. UMASS is also a bit expensive and from further research don't offer a concentration in international business.
Southern New Hampshire University has a B.S. in International Business and a B.S in Business Studies with a concentration in International Management. Tuition is $720 per three-credit eight-week course.
