Hello I was wondering if there are any Doctorate programs in history available 100% distance. Im about to finish my BS and LOL I cant figure out what I want to do lol. Thanks
Renshi, I asked the same question about a year ago and here's the skinny on stateside RA schools ( As far as I know). University of Florida .....Ancient Civ stuff Union Institute...not sure of the courses but "pricey" The other options are British, Australian and South African Schools with UNSIA probably being the best in cost. Let me know if you find anything different! Best, Gavin
Not Union, yet. It is likely the opportunity to pursue a degree with a specialization in the arts will continue to be available--unile some other specializations previously allowed. But there are still some changes to the degree program to be announced in response to the Ohio Board of Regents' report. I'd wait. Oh, and no "courses." Competency areas defined by the learner with his/her committee, along with strategies for accomplishing those competencies.
Without having reviewed every thread on this topic, I'll bet that most of the collective wisdom on this subject can be found in these three threads: http://forums.degreeinfo.com/showthread.php?s=&threadid=18092 http://forums.degreeinfo.com/showthread.php?s=&threadid=18335 http://forums.degreeinfo.com/showthread.php?s=&threadid=18275 Good luck.
