New Name: American Christian College and Seminary

    American <I>Bible</I> College and Seminary has now changed their name to American <I>Christian</I> College and Seminary. http://www.abcs.edu/

    It also looks like they have dropped the Ph.D. program which they used to offer, now offering only the D.Min. This is also what Luther Rice does, no Ph.D., only the D.Min.

    They dropped the Ph.D. program a long time ago. I think it was right after they changed their name from the University of Biblical Studies. Also, they now say "begin earning your accredited degree in business or theology". The "business" part is new. I don't see any degree programs specfically geared toward business though.

    This is probably the reason for the name change from "Bible" to "Christian." The latter being more inclusive to disciplines other than biblical studies.

    They have changed their name for that purpose. They now offer business degrees. TRACS suggested that the change be made.

    I am also a Graduate student there as well.
