After a site visit, 20,000 leagues under the sea, the WAUC has awarded full accreditation to the University of Atlantis. Keeping with its mission of accrediting schools in worlds beneath and above earth, the WAUC is to be commended for its commitment to the UA. Full accreditation was awarded on July 1 at 2:00 pm. UA awarded its first Ph.D. in Oceanography at 2:15 the same day.

WOW! The benefits of DL! [IMG]

Was the site visit made in person by the always intrepid Maxine, or was it performed remotely by telepathy?

This is not the first university located far beneath the sea. Drs Carr and Crews, of CPU/CCU fame, have already produced for us:

Located in the strangely Atlantean-like Principality of New Utopia.

But Maxine has beaten them to the first totally all-wet accreditation though. I guess that Malawi is still waiting for the check to clear the deeply-offshore New Utopian bank.

I think Maxine enlisted the help of Dr. Robert Ballard and his team from the Woods Hole Oceanographic Institute. She could have made the site visit from that deep-sea submersible they used on the Titanic.

Actually, it was indeed performed by the good Dr. Maxine herself. With a crystal in each hand, three garlic roots securely tied to her left little toe, and a moon rock in her pocket, she was transported via astral projection to Atlantis. The site visit was completed as usual, in 14 seconds, and she was back on the surface in a little over 34 seconds. [IMG]
