    Hey guys,

heres the deal... I want to take DL courses that transfer to a BandM college eventually. I am still not sure what I want to major in... it could be business related or something in Arts. But I do want to get the basic, required courses out of the way.

So for basic courses (probably about 30-60 hrs.), can I go to a DL RA school that is more tuition friendly because I know I am going to transfer to BandM college and get my degree there anyway.

What are some schools known for good value you get for the money?

    Thanks...

    Hi Kawi.
Welcome aboard. Can you make either your field or your financial range a little more specific? If you can, it might help get better-quality answers for you. There is also another website BAin4weeks which you might find interesting. Good luck to you.
    Best wishes,
    Uncle Janko

Hey thanks for replying so quick,

I am looking at Accounting... either CMA or CPA track.

But my question was geared more towards general courses ( does it still matter? )

    Thanks

Have you thought about finding a community college that offers DL courses? They're RA and offer general ed courses.

Hi Kawi, welcome to the board.

My suggestion is to look at your Illinois community colleges. Many community colleges offer DL classes, and at least in some states they practically give them away to in-state residents.

If you live in Chicago, you have lots of B&M community college classes within striking range too, so see what they offer at night or at times that fit your schedule.

As to what to take, figure out some bachelors programs that you would maybe like to transfer into, and look at those school's catalogs. See what kind of general ed classes and lower division introductory classes they require, and try to get that stuff done at the community college.

You probably need to talk to some guidance counselors too. The community colleges have counseling offices all ready for you. These people can tell you about articulation agreements between the community colleges and the four-year colleges and can make sure that the classes you are taking will really transfer to the four-year college.

I think CC's are good for what I am looking at. I am presently enrolled in a CC for one online course, but the thing is they have a very limited amount of online courses,... I could count them on my fingers... yet its a big school too.

Does anybody else know of Community Colleges in the Chicagoland area that offer DL/online courses. Even within illinois is fine.

    thanks

P.S. I cannot attend classes in person because of an illness.

    Re: Re: Some newb questions...

Hi, Thanks for this advice... it makes sense to look into the Univ I am transfering to and their requirments for that particular degree I am interested in (probably Accounting).
