Hi there, gang. Just thought I would drop everyone a quick note to let you know of a new service I've been working on.

    Details at:

    http://www.degreetracker.com/

This all sort of evolved out of the custom spreadsheet that I made to track my degree progress at TESC (which I've mentioned before in my Unixman's Clep Oddysey thread). The web version is much more informative, and a lot more intuitive than the spreadsheet.

At any rate, stay tuned. Enjoy the sneak peek :)

    Cheers.

You did a great job on the formatting. The version you designed is easy to follow and allows for student updates.

    Keep up the good work!

Wow! Looks very elaborate! I am assuming you'll be using some sort of database (mysql?) as the back-end but what are you intending as your scripting engine? PHP? Having a Java applet may be good as well but might not work on some systems... especially if it's Windows Java. Judging from your handle though, I'm sure it will be something I can run on my Fedora distro :D

All the best with your endeavor! :)

Very impressive. Unless I was seeing things the other day, did your degree graph show 90%? Like I said, I have been doing a lot of homework lately, my eyes may have been playing tricks on me. Either way, just wondering. Once again, very impressive!

    Have a great weekend!

    Yes, MySQL/PHP ... won't be distributed, though - will only be a web-based app.

    Cheers.

I was probably playing around with it (testing). The current meter should be accurate ... (unfortunately!) ...

    Cheers.

As an update, I've put up some temporary forums there, to provide a place for ideas/suggestions - I don't want to abuse the bandwidth here at degreeinfo.com, so if you want to help participate in the development, feel free to hop on over there and create a forums account. :)

I've also put up an updated screenshot as well ... :)

    Cheers.
