So, I've been researching distance education for about five years. You know, scanning the net, reading Dr. Bear's and others' books, and here I find the most awesome, splediferously cool site ever! I'm certain this must be somewhere on the site here but a search would only bring up Dantes test posts. If you don't know about it... here: http://www.dantescatalogs.com/DEDC/InstitutionsBySubject.asp Wow, I'm really blown away. (Which is not saying much. Should really tell you more about my lack of a life!)
Yes, it's a great resource. Some might want to take a look at this page from the same site: Dantes Online Catalog Tom Nixon
Is there a simple explanation of what part of DANTES applies to military personnel and what part to anyone?
Tell me about it: It was Tom Nixon who suggested I check out www.bain4weeks.com He also suggested one of the Big Three, in this case I have chosen COSC. I will be completing a class with University of Iowa DL. UOI is a good school, but I finally figured it would take me forever to complete my D/L degree with them. I have a bunch of classes/credits from all over the place such as community college (A.A.), math from USC (4 credits) and about 18 semester hours from UOI. Recently I racked up 12 credits with a Spanish CLEP test, and another three from DANTES Intro to Business. Anyway, thank God for this website and helpful people like Tom Nixon and several others. I am hoping take complete my B.A. sometime next year if all goes well. Take care, Abner
Hi! Thanks Will! Did you ever have any luck finding DANTES or CLEP testing sites in Spain? I think I recall you saying that was a problem for you. Just curious, hope you are doing ok. Nice talking to you again, Abner
Re: What? Sorry, my post got posted 3 times so I edited the two last ones with that word just in case moderator would delete since I can't do it. It's because sometimes it is very difficult to post and I get impatient and press the button several times...must be my coca cola overdose with my studies for Clep accounting and Clep Business law currently....
