I believe that, in general, the answer is "yes."

And if there's doubt once you have the degree, simply submit your transcript and whatever else is asked for, along with a check for the required fee, to either AACRAO or most any NACES member agency and they'll evaluate the degree and either declare it equivalent or not. Most unversities, employers and government agencies accept such credential evaluations and declarations on their face (with some exceptions, obviously).

    Dear DesElms,

Regarding AACRAO, I have completed my BS and MS from Kuwait University (Kuwait) and my PhD from University of Pretoria (South Africa), so can I use AACRAO to evaluate if my degrees are equivalent to RA in US?

Is AACRAO well know in US and Western countries?

    Thank u in advance

    That's precisely what it's for.

Yes... well... in the U.S., at least. I don't really know how well-known it is in other Western countries. I know that AACRAO is the preferred degree evaluation agency of the State of Oregon's Office of Degree Authorization, among others... or so says the ODA's Director. It's definitely legit...

...and some, here, have argued that AACRAO is preferred over any of the NACES member agencies. I don't know if that's true or not. Some universities use one, some use the other, some use both. Same for government. Same for business.
