Has anyone been able to get on to NCU's website. I've been trying for the last couple of days and haven't been able to get on.

    Anyone else experiencing any problems?

I can not either, I was on their site last night though.
They could be doing a migration or server maintenance. As they are only serving html they really should get a maintenance site or an active-passive node.

    Hi Tel,

I was on the site for most of the day yesterday, but it's been down since about 10:00 PM last night Eastern Time. It looks like it's the entire site--the www.ncu.edu part is down as well. Hopefully they'll get it up sometime today.

I thought my Internet connection was bad…It's good to know that others are experiencing the same problem.

    c.novick,
what make you choose NCU for your doctoral work? I am considering them (still working on my second masters) for my PhD in a year or so.
Indiana State has a PhD in Technology Mgmt that I might try to tackle. It does have residency, however the campus is only an hour away.

I don't mind the fact that they are an "upstart". I did the UoP thing, it was good, however it was also very costly. We all know education is what you make of it. I like that NCU has a little more manageable tuition. I also have some interest in Touro. Thoughts?

    Hi scubasteveiu

Indiana State's program sounds excellent. Touro is certainly worth looking at as well. Do a search of the archives here for info on any school you are considering.

I did my MBA at NCU and I enjoyed the program so much, I stayed on for my Ph.D. You have 16 weeks to finish a course, however if practical you can accelerate your studies and finish a course faster. You receive a syllabus in the beginning, which lays out the course requirements and you proceed from there. There are no cohorts or group projects. There are no mandatory discussion boards but you do have course forums and other areas to converse with fellow learners.

NCU also mandates a specific sequence of coursework that assists the learner in putting together their dissertation. Also a big plus was I do not have to travel to Arizona for my defense. It can be done by video communications. Finally, the tuition was very competitive and less than other schools.
