I found this site by accident the other day!
Your input on my options is appreciated.

Without being specific on my area of study, business, agriculture, whatever.

I am bailing on my NCU PhD most likely, they have cancelled handling US financial aid.

I want to go to another school and complete my PhD at a distance while drawing US financial Aid.

I live in Thailand so a Thai - US partnership is possible?

I am interested in the UK research only distance degrees for instance.

I have US degrees of BSAG, MBA, and MA. Besides my business experience I have taught 2 years plus recently, in undergrad and MBA international programs.

I'm not up on matters related to financial aid but I do know something about dissertation-only research PhDs. Based on that I'd say that I don't believe that you're going to get any financial aid for your enrollment in such a program. Perhaps you'd consider enrolling in a South African university. The cost is so low that your unlikely to need financial aid.

I agree with the UNISA suggestion. Annual tuition is approx $1800 US. A three year program would come in at well under $6000 US. Many would not need assistance at that rate.
