    Hmm...

Walden is a good school atleast thats what other students told me. But here is a school that offers a Master of education and its at a well known college in Louisiana http://www.nsula.edu/ece/ensu.asp

my wife is in the graduate program in education..............middle school math emphasis. She has to:
watch videos-good ones i get to watch them to :)
write discussion posts and read and respond
    write a paper-not very long
    take a short quiz
this is what she does. She says she is learning and it helps, she does not find it especially challenging but she is not complaining...............

It has been a while since I've looked at any of the Walden programs. My memory is that the Masters level programs seemed a bit expensive, especially when there are a whole bunch of less expensive alternatives. Still, I thinks it's basically a good school and probably a good program.

    Walden Recommendation

Holly, you asked about Walden's MS in Education. I highly recommend it. I do work part time for them, but I can tell you this, I would have chosen the program that I am now teaching for my own Master's degree if it had been available at that time. I do think that it challenges most teachers. There is always going to be something that some teachers "already know" or have already studied but the interaction with the other teachers in the cohort always gives everyone something to build on. I earned my own Master's from Marygrove College. I used videos produced by Canter, the same as what Walden uses but the online format is much more flexible and convenient than the "live study group" method where three or more people join together and meet together on a regular basis. Walden also offers a face-to- face live study group option though, if you think that might be something you'd want to consider. Good luck!
