Could someone tell me what schools offer doctorate degrees that let you specialize in accounting or finance. I already know about Nova, but I am looking into other options. I crossed NCU off my list since they don't offer financial aid. I looked into Argosy somewhat and Touro somewhat. But I definitely want the accounting emphasis. I know Case and UMUC offers the DM but it seems to be general. Thanks
This may help too: http://www.aicpa.org/nolimits/become/ships/AICPA.htm#Deloitte_Foundation Deloitte Foundation Manager, Academic Development & University Relations Ten Westport Road P.O. Through the program, up to 10 outstanding doctoral candidates are selected each year to be Deloitte & Touche Doctoral Fellows. Each Fellow receives a grant of $25,000, disbursed in four payments over two years, to help cover the Fellow's expenses during his or her final year of coursework and during the year immediately following, in which the Fellow is expected to complete the dissertation. Since the program's inception, more than 900 students have been named Deloitte & Touche Doctoral Fellows. Any graduate student enrolled in and successfully pursuing a doctoral degree in accounting at an accredited U.S. university who has completed two or more semesters (or the equivalent) of that program is eligible to apply for a Deloitte & Touche Doctoral Fellowship. At some time during their doctoral studies, fellows are expected to teach or to prepare themselves for their teaching careers by participating in elective programs designed to enhance their teaching skills. Applications should be available through the accounting department of the applicant's school. They are also available from the Deloitte Foundation.
Let me clarify I meant part time/dl/limited or no residency programs. Not full time. I know all the full time info, because initially I was gonna go full time. Thanks
Anderson or Lawrence Tech Anyone have any experiences with these programs. They seem like good programs however the residences would be kind of tight for me. Anderson wants you to spend two weeks in the summer in residency. Just wondering if anyone else has experience in these programs. Also I would love to interact with anyone who is in Touro's program or Argosy.
Re: Anderson or Lawrence Tech Dave Wagner is pursuing his doctorate at Touro. He might be able to tell you a bit more about PhD studies there... send him a pm, he's a great guy and will give you helpful pointers
