I have a BSLA degree granted in 93, here a few months ago I send in my application with 3 schools that I wanted to add to my credit bank.

Being a past student allowed to pay a much lower fee - only 25.00 dollars.

We'll it has taken them over 3 months to complete my update and they trying to cheat me by having be pay $25.00 times (3) three.

I had to copy their policy, my original application, and demand to speak to a supervisor to get things cleared up.

Will as of today, I'm only being charges the ($25.00) fee, my updated transcripts are in the mail

I'm hoping to receive them before Christmas.

If your looking at this service - make copies of everything and stand your ground

THIS MANAGEMENT TEAM AT EXCELISOR IS TRYING TO ROB,CHEAT, AND LIE -

MY ADVISE WOULD BE TO AVOID THIS DECEPTIVE COLLEGE

Please refrain from posting the identical (or even very similar) messages to different threads. It is repetitively redundant (or is that redundantly repetitive), excessively time-consuming, and extremely annoying; as such, it is counterproductive to your purposes.

It also constitutes SPAM, and if it does not violate the TOS of this forum, it should.

    Thank you,

I seriously doubt that Excelsior College tried to cheat you for a measly $50; it was probably a clerical error. This sort of thing happens all the time. I was charged twice for a residential theology class at another institution that cost a fair bit more than $50, got the matter cleared up, and all was right with the world. Don't be so paranoid.

Mike, I think you can make your point(s) in a little less accusatory manner.

USNY/Regents/Excelsior has a great reputation in these parts, and whatever problems you've had I would say are most likely administrative or book-keeping errors. I hardly think that Excelsior is going to risk its sterling reputation for a few more dollars.

Normally, I prefer not to comment on grammar, punctuation, and the like. I'm guilty of typos, syntax errors, and poor word usage just like anyone else. But considering the poor behavior of this poster--and the fact that I'm a very satisfied graduate of the program in question--I do have one question: Did Regents drop the writing requirement? Or did this guy get it waived?

We get your point, dude. You're not a satisfied customer. Well, no one here can make it any better. Posting one angry message after another isn't going to change that. And if your goal is to dissuade others from enrolling in Excelsior, it won't work. Your message is getting drowned in the excesses you take.

I earned my BA from USNY/Regents in 1989. Upon receiving my diploma I discovered that they had mispelled my name (even though you are required to fill out a form showing exact spelling,Jr.etc.). In addition the seal of the university was crooked, it was just a little sloppy. After calmly pointing this out to Regents they were nothing but gracious and apologetic for the human error and swiftly provided a replacement. No cost was incurred by me. My point is that the complaint posted is pretty extreme for what is CLEARLY an error which I'm certain will be cleared up by Excelsior. They are nothing but fair and committed to the DL student. If I got my panties all in a bundle over non-issues such as this, I'd be scoring heroin on the corner! Sheeesh!

I second that emotion. I tried to come up with an example of something inconvenient that Regents/Excelsior did during the 18 months I was enrolled, and drew a blank. It's not that I think that Regents/Excelsior didn't make any clerical errors, necessarily; I just can't remember them. They're not important to me at all because they were resolved, just as Mike's was resolved. There are so many business and universities that respond poorly to their own mistakes that I'm just glad that the excellent Regents/Excelsior staff members react so well on the rare occasion when they make them.

We get your point. You have had the opportunity to vent over an educational organization that the majority of those who have had contact and posted here, have been very happy with. At this point I humbly suggest you move on. There is a whole world of exciting DL opportunity out there. Be forewarned that these little glitches in life happen. Quit punishing yourself as it will only make you ill.

I have a book suggestion for you:

Albert Ellis "How to Keep People From Pushing Your Buttons". It uses the Rational Emotive Approach (no surprise as he is the father of RET).
