I would actually like to know this myself. Let's assume for the sake of this question that the test taker has not taken a math class since high school, a zillion years ago.

Another question, slightly off topic. Does anyone know if Business Math is considered "College Level" math?

It de[ends on how well you know math. I was able to pass several CLEPS with about two weeks of studying (1.5 -2 hours a day/5 days a week)

    well,
i guess with the right books you can get there fast, but my problem is that i haven't found any books that satisfy me.

one book makes it look real easy (princeton, cracking the clep)
but the other makes it look like i don't know anything (peterson, clep success)
    so, where do i stand???

Book Title: Beginning Algebra, 6th Edition
    Author: Hutchinson, D
    ISBN: 0074251953
    Publisher: Boston, McGraw Hill, 2005

I used this textbook for an 8-week DL course but truthfully it could have been covered in about 2 weeks if you had a good background in high school algebra. It was an easy 'A' for my degree.

The princeton book is the best in my opinion, you may also want to check out:
