Right now, I am attending Northcentral University majoring in psychology and it is costing me a fortune at 475 per unit….I’m a full time student. At the moment, I’m only working part time and am also receiving a very small stipend from the VA to help supplement my educational expenses. I took out a student loan to help with the cost for my first semester at NCU and don’t want to use another for my second semester. I would much rather pay out of pocket. However, I was told that if I choose the out of pocket route for a full time student I’ll need to pay up front $ 1,425 as my first payment and my next two final payments would be broken down into $712.50.

Does anybody know of RA Master Degree program that is cheaper and has a reasonable out of pocket payment plan? My husband told me it’s normal for certain, master degree programs to be expansive but I hope that’s not true…

Do a forum search. Someone has listed a link before which has the cheapest MBAs in the US.

    Good Luck.

Fort Hays State University's Master of Liberal Studies program costs $164 per credit hour.

    Your question.

    Hi,
I'm not certain but I don't think your question has been correctly answered yet.

My feeling is that you want a Psychology Ph.D program, correct?

Unfortunately NorthCentral has the cheapest RA US DL degree psych doctorate program. Period.

The cheapest DL masters program I've seen is the HUX humanities masters program at the California State University at Dominguez Hills.

I am a student at UWA in the counseling psych program and its great and I do plan to change to NCU after the master's.

    Good luck.

Oof! I had MBA on the brain. My apologies for not reading your request more closely!

Actually, the original post asks about master's degree programs, not a PhD. I did overlook the major they were seeking.

    Of the DL psychology schools:

    Alliant International University
    Atlantic University
    Capella University
    East Carolina University
    Kansas State University
    Naropa University
    Northcentral University
    Pacific Graduate School of Psychology
    Prescott College
Saybrook Graduate School and Research Center
    Seton Hall University
    Southern Christian University
    University of Idaho
    University of Wisconsin–Platteville
    Utah State University
    Walden University

My understanding is that K-State or East Carolina are the lowest cost.
