It's hard to say since your link is broken. However, I would suggest that anything stated by that entity should be highly scrutinized since appearances indicate that they have been caught in the past telling lies.

  3. I am attaching the link below and have reviewed the letter. I can't tell you if is is legit, but the date of the letter is February 2005. In order to be able to read it, right click on the image and save it to your desktop. Then you can increase the size of the image to read the document.

As one of the few defenders of old Liberia's good name, I have to say sadly that it doesn't really matter very much whether it's real or not. The Bryant government is a vast improvement over Taylor's warlordism, but weird monetary fiefdoms certainly aren't gone and may never go away.

The best thing that could happen would be for the Liberian MOE to assign accreditation responsibility for a period of, say, ten years to an American RA or NA accrediting agency, or to adopt the standards of such an agency pretty much word-for-word, while making allowance for the problems of wartime reconstruction.

UL and Cuttington could be grandfathered in now with the provision of getting back up to speed in ten years (and a laundry list of what they need to achieve in that period). Perhaps the same could be done with the Tubman technikon and the AME college--I know almost nothing about these, including whether they were stable institutions at any time. A procedure like this would fix the wagon of SRE permanently, and go a long way to establishing the bona fides of Liberia in the educational field, including DL.

As I have said before, if that DL bona fides ever were established, I'd be proud to work for a DL degree from Liberia.

I wish Liberia well, but it's hard to be very hopeful.

    Indeed so.

Once again, Uncle, you're a beacon of knowledge and clear thinking.

The document has some content, but lack a telephone number or an email address. It is unsual for an official letter of such magnitude to lack such valid and reliable references. Thank you.

    Doesn't say they are accredited

just says they are in Liberia, which debatable. As a matter of fact, it specifically says that their status does not amount to acccreditation...
