I live on the west coast (seattle area). Indiana's Kelley Direct mba is ranked a little higher than ASU, but should I go to ASU instead though since I am on the west coast? Which one has the best name recognition over here. Any thoughts. Is anyone in either program that could comment. Thanks.
I don't know details about the two programs, but geography does tend to matter somewhat. Being closer to the school means you have a better chance to access some of the universities career resource services, and make it easier to attend things like graduation and so forth. Employers in the area also have a better idea about the kind of graduate the school produces. But if you don't really care to use those things, then you can go either way. I wouldn't worry about recognition. I think it is more important to choose the school based on the program offered and the faculty.
Both are great DL MBA programs and reasonably--at least relatively--priced. Could hardly go wrong either way.
