Dear all: http://www.cubu.edu/english/about/introduction.htm A Beijing Construction University, whose degree-granting authority, supposedly, are approved and accredited by the State Education Commission in China. I'm not sure what that signifies, but it's in partnership with Newport University, which, on the same website, denotes (proudly?) that it is accredited by the International Association of Schools, Colleges and Universities. Oh man, oh man. Cheers, Byran
This could actually be worth something; the Newport branch in South Africa seems to be SAQA-approved, according to the ICDL. One of those cases, I suppose, where the extension site has more oomph than the degree-granting institution. Peace, ------------------ Tom Head www.tomhead.net
That is wonderfully bizarre. You could actually have the parent campus as an unaccredited school and the branch campuses accredited. North
And the accreditation statement is the sooooooooo solid! http://www.newportu.cz/English/accreditation.htm Cheers, George ------------------ Virtual Universities of Australasia & the World www.virtualuniversities.net [email protected]
From the FAQ: Where is the university accredited? NEWPORT UNIVERSITY is an Educational Corporation incorporated in the State of South Dakota in good standing. This is an example of a question and a response, as opposed to a question and an answer. The accurate answer would have been, of course, "NO." But the response is much more likely to get the desired outcome: another sucker on the line.
