No surprises. At their June meeting, they granted accreditation to the US Open University, Western Governors, Azaliah University of South Africa (but using the address of the less-than-wonderful New Mexico school they bought for some reason), plus a high school and a non-degree-granting institute. Comments from the public are invited on four new applicants: Babel University (Hawaii), U of South Africa, Universidad FLET (FL), and Allied Business Schools (CA). I note that Southwest University, which had been on the applicant list a few weeks ago, no longer is. Comments by August 31; decisions next January 12.
It appears that those currently enrolled in EAU programs with be awarded the EAU diploma as opposed to the Azaliah College diploma. http://eau.edu/ Azaliah offers an interesting variety of degrees. I wonder if they will all be available here in the US through Azaliah University. North
Might have something to do with the NM S/L 5.100.2 regulations and change of ownership ... any new license registration after 30 Sept 96 requires DETC or US DoEd recognised accreditor within three years.
