  1. I am interested in learning what institutions, besides Excelsior College, offers credit for GRE examinations and the maximum allowed for that particular institution. I am considering completing another Bachelor's Degree with a Concentration in Psychology.

I graduated from The University of the State of New York, Regents College Degrees Program in 1984 and was awarded 39 semester hours for the Sociology GRE examination.

    Thank you.

    According to BAin4weeks.com

    Reference

I would imagine that Physchology counts as qualitative.

  3. Psych is non-quantitative (which I suppose is the same as qualitative :) ).

Excelsior currently awards up to 30 credits for a subject GRE. That is the highest for any college that I have found. Chart Oak would be second highest, with up to 24.

I think COSC might be your only other option, and they may not allow you to pursue a liberal arts bachelor's (the result of taking GRE Subject Exams) if you've already done one at Regents/Excelsior. It would be a good idea to contact them.

I took the Sociology GRE in 1980, scoring in the 66th percentile. That was good enough for the full 39 s.h. back then, but would likely result in something like 21 s.h. now. (I can't find the exact sliding scale.) The test gave me (along with taking one other CLEP) my second bachelor's. That degree has done me exactly zero good over the years, but I'm proud of it anyway.

Empire State College awards up to 36 s/h for an appropriate score (I believe above the 95%ile). Probably not an option as they require 30 s/h to be earned residentially (not b&m, but through ESC) for a degree.

edit: I have come across references of other schools awarding credit for subject GREs, but have yet to find any other firm policy statements.
