Take a look "all of you" who have seen Berne University jump from state to state. Now they are working out of a Berne graduate's house in Cecil, Pennsylvania ( a Dr. Dolly) and the PA DOE just let us all know that Berne is still a "fluff" mill.

Dear (Berne Student Name withheld by request)

Thank you for your inquiry. Berne University International Graduate School is not authorized in Pennsylvania and is operating illegally. This institution has no legitimate accreditation.

I hope this answers your question sufficiently.

It is an unusual situation for a legitimate university in the U.S. to operate without recognized accreditation, without state approval or licensure (and thus, without a legal right to operate), change from one state to another, and claiming to be recognzed by a foreign government.

It is not, however, unusual for an illegitimate school to operate in that fashion.

I do not know if Berne is legitimate or not. I guess that depends on your idea of "legitimate."

However, I'm willing to go along with the PA state employee who said that they were operating illegally. Strong words for a government worker. Must have little fear of being sued. Of course, if Berne sued, they would have to prove that they are operating legally.

    St Kitts Accreditation also gone!

According to the PA DOE, Berne should not be operating in Pennsylvania. So how do they exist there? The NH Post-Secondary Education Council / Dr. Kathleen Dodge and the NH Attorney General's office finally ran them out of New Hampshire as of November 1, 2003. I am wondering why the PA Attorney General's office does not just go in an sweep them up. Quite a few students are being hurt once again, as they sent out a December newsletter that states they are almost "done" with SACS accreditation. What a hoax! What a fraud! I was informed yesterday that Dr. Dolly will be in St. Kitts to try to get their re-accreditation back in the haze created by Dr. Frank Mills (a St. Kitts citizen) resigning and letting St Kitts Officials know "why" he resigned.

Speaking of Berne University, whatever happened to the monetary settlement former Berne provost Chuck Knisley was supposed to get from them? Has he been able to collect from these characters? Are any of the Berne students or other Berne employees or faculty suing as well?
