Does anyone have any experience transfering corporate training for college credits? Evidentally it is possible. These folks do the evaluating/recommendation to colleges. I always wondered how the USDA Graduate School (unaccredited) could operate after the government reports which have basically blasted non-accredited distance education programs. Apparently through a combination of cavetas on their website and use of this outfit's services, they maintain a certain amount of credibility. I must say that I have taken two USDA GS courses (they're also open to non-government folks and they even advertize in Atlantic Monthly magazine). While I have not attempted to convert them to college credit courses, I do feel the courses (one in statistics and one in scientific writing) were worthwhile and comparable to my RA distance ed courses.

The USDAGS doesn't grant degrees, hence, there is nothing to "accredit". ACE independently evaluates courses and recommends what kind/how much credit should be awarded. It is then up to the individual school you are applying to whether or not they choose to accept ACE credits. As far as I heard, I've never known an RA school to reject ACE credits.
