Has anyone taken Independent Study classes and paid by the class rather then per credit hour?

LSU is one school that I have found.

    ...Thanks

    Greetings.

With regard to your recent post:

    1) LSU (http://www.is.lsu.edu/defaultsm.asp) charges by the semester credit hour for its college level Independent Study courses (currently $73 per S/H, http://www.is.lsu.edu/uifaq.asp?nid=401#19).

    2) I don't see why it matters to you how the cost of a IS course is determined; personally I'm only concerned with the price, not how the price was derived.

    Cordially,
    Richard Kanarek

How are those IS classes at Pueblo? I am considering taking operations management and business policy there. The business policy course project has me a little spooked though.

I've only taken Sociology courses except for my current 3 which are Psychology, but I can say they are challenging. There was a good deal of written work and almost all the work (except for Psychology) was written, including tests. Soc 310 Theories of Soc. was the hardest class I've ever taken :) And I did my first 60 hours at various on-campus schools. I think the instructors are interesting though and responsive. One of my Criminology instructors is the Chief of Police in Pueblo, CO so I think they are pretty qualified to :)

  7. Hey Cincy,

Welcome to Degree Info. I am within spitting distance of you. I live just across the river in Park Hills, Kentucky. Are you working on a Bachelors or a Masters Degree? I just enrolled in California Coast University http://calcoast.edu and I am pleased with their degree programs. At the time I originally enrolled, their fees was based on a total program cost. Their prices now are reasonable at $162.00 per graduate hour.

Email me sometime and maybe we can have the chance to meet. It would be nice meeting you. Take care. Have a Great Day!

    Sincerely,
