When I completed the MS-ITM these were the classes I took. I did not like the fact that they had different prefixes and I did not have 18 credits with a single prefix. ITM505 Information Tech Mgt Capstone MKT501 Strategic Marketing ITM504 Advanced Mgt of Information Tech MGT501 Management and Org. Behavior ETH501 Business Ethics ITM503 Mgt of Information Tech ECM501 Management of E-Commerce ECM502 Managing the Global Virtual Marketplace BUS508 Fundamentals of Business for Managers Now they have change to a NEW set of courses that require 44 credits to graduate as opposed to the 36 I needed. Also, all the classes start with ITM. The new curriculum looks so much better than the one I did. The new one is much more descriptive.
More than the prefixes, the content of the program is much better as it has a good mixture of technical and management courses. It also opens the door to teach both technical and management oriented courses. The old program was very management oriented and would leave the doors close for those students interested in the technical aspect of IT. It seems that TUI is serious about offering quality education. Their MBA and PhD programs are also a lot more stronger than before. Good for TUI!!
