I put the following post on the TESC discussion board. I know this forum is more active so I would like to have your reaction to this situation.

    Hello all,
Imagine the shock of my life when reading through some messages yesterday and finding out that TECEPs are not unlimited with the comprehensive tuition. They are now included in the 36 credits/year. The ONLY reason I chose TESC is because I could finish my BSBA by the end of this year by taking TECEPs in addition to my other classes. In fact, I left my previous school because they increased their tuition and added fees every quarter. Now I have to hear through the grapevine that TECEPs are included in the 36 credit total which will take me longer and MORE MONEY!!!!

In a previous post, Dr. Keel says the bursar has acknowleged that this was a mistake in printing material and on the website. I am absolutely dumbfounded as to how a mistake of this magnitude can happen especially when I called the school to get clarification on the tuition plan before I enrolled and was assured more than once that TECEPS are unlimited. I don\'t remember seeing anything in writing in the mail letting me know that there has been a policy change. I realize that I can make a phone call to the school to ask about this, but because this a discussion for all students to see, I hope this can benefit some of you. Has anybody tried to take TECEPs since this policy change? Have they honored their promise that you can still take unlimited TECEPs? Please somebody wake me up from this nightmare!

    Welcome to TESC

Sorry to hear about your latest TESC fiasco. I had plenty of mine as well. I am sure that TESC has plenty of legalese to cover them with this bait and switch.

I did the comprehensive tuition as well, for the same reason as you. I found another 'forgetten rule' or 'changed policy' at every turn at TESC. The support staff (ROTFLMAO) at tesc was joke. You will find better help here.

This was one of the reasons why I took more CLEP and Dantes exams. The Teceps required a $50 proctor fee in my area. The libraries wouldn't do it. Clep's were faster and cheaper, and didn't count against the 36 unit bs rule. for a BSBA you should only need 2 teceps: Business Policy and Business in Society. The rest you can complete through Clep/dantes.

The main thing to do is focus on your goal. Get your degree!!! You can still get your degree within 1 year, but don't expect TESC to help at all!!!!! They have already been paid. They were the biggest group of worthless staff I have ever had to deal with.
Figure out what Cleps/Dantes/PA you can take.

I was able to finish off 84 credits in my year, after wasting 3 months trying to get help from their admin. You can do it, but get focused on your goal.

I also had major problems with TESC's "tuition plans." In a nutshell, I was overcharged $412.00. I submitted it to the appeals board, which obviously, said tough. Since they hold my transcripts hostage and all the cards, I reluctantly paid it. But the way they deal with tuition and their customer service SUCKS.
