Hi All, I once observed Cardean university offering MBA's with the course syllabus of Top tier universities such as Carnegie melon, Stanford Columbia etc... But I remember it was not regionally accredited. Can a person persue his MBA through this university and obtain industry recognition? Thanks in advance. Vinod
Anyone can take "the course syllabus" of another university, and can even use the same textbooks, but it is not the same thing. Plus the fact that this university is not RA, sounds very much like a degree mill.
Cardean is an accredited University. Cardean University 500 Lake Cook Road, Suite 150 Deerfield, IL 60015-5609 Phone: (866) 948-1289 Fax: (847) 444-8155 Web: http://www.cardean.com Accreditation by: Distance Education and Training Council (DETC) The institutions listed here have been accredited by this accrediting organization (last updated June 2004).
Cardean looks like the for-profit arm of elite schools that targets the average & busy professional. They only maket their MBA so its beyond me why this school even calls itself a university. It has DETC accreditation, and despite not being a RA school, it is very overpriced (despite their home page not saying a whole lot about their tuition). If you are looking for prestige, this is not the school. I wouldn't get caught up with their Ivy League associations. Just my thoughts, -S
