When I was looking through the Greenwich U on line newsletter recently I noticed that they had a tribute to Sian who apparently died at 40 years old. She was the one who corresponded for them with inquirers. I had contacted her when they first moved to Norfolk and seemed pretty confident they were going to be approved. She was very helpful and kind. So it was kind of sad that she passed away at a rather young age leaving a child and companion behind.

She seemed a fine and sincere person, and she died in a car accident, which must be a great rarity on Norfolk. Around the time of my involvement at Greenwich/Hawaii, our wonderful bookkeeper, Carla Yamada, also 40, and her daughter were murdered by her estranged husband. No smart remarks, and no conclusions to draw other than the obvious ones regarding the uncertainty and frailty of life on this odd little planet of ours.

And just when you think you've seen everything, some twisted monster in Houston, Texas intentionally drowns her 5 children.
