I am interested in getting DL MBA from Cameron University. What appeal me is that 1)school is RA accredited and the MBA is member of AACSB. 2)tuition is amony the lowest. 3)They are B&M and a long history. 4)they offer CLEP for prerequisite classes(I had a computer science undergrad).

With all said, I wonder how is the reputation of the school and the MBA program? How much we can learn and how tough is the classes and graduation exam? Appreciate for any feedback.

    I don't see AACSB

I see where it is accredited by ACBSP but not AACSB.

However, if AACSB is not required it does look like a good program and very inexpensive. It will work if all you are wanting is an MBA, however, it won't be the ticket to a big time MBA job.

I went to Cameron part-time to get a graduate degree in Behavioral Sciences. The school is solid and serves the Southwestern Oklahoma area, "Texoma".

I would check twice with the tuition and the distance learning aspect of it. I think the tuition is for in-state residents and the distance learning program is statewide as well as an extension center in Germany.

Cameron is also located next to Fort Sill. So the only name recognition that you will find is in Oklahoma and in the Field Artillery community - but it is a good reputation.

    I hope this helps.

If you're looking for an MBA online in that general region that's AACSB accredited (not just a member of the AACSB) and a good value, there's also Oklahoma State, Nebraska, the Texas University System MBA, UT-Dallas, Arkansas-Little Rock, Colorado State, and Colorado-Colorado Springs. Those schools also have the benefit of being a lot better known outside of N. TX or S. OK.

One more criteria for me is that to complete the MBA in 1.5 years. Cameron's MBA offer 8 weeks term and most students take 2 classes at the same time, so it can be complete in a little over 1 year.

If anyone know a AACSB accredited MBA program that can be finished in 1.5 years and less than 20K, I am very very interested.

    Thanks,
    Keith

UMass can be completed in 1.5 years, as it only requires 37 cr. hr. plus one foundational course should you not have a UG Biz degree. It's a little more expensive than $20K, but it's mid-$20Ks, so it's close, and you can also transfer in 6 cr. hr. of MBA work, so you could do two classes at Cameron on the cheap, save a few grand, then transfer it to UMass and keep your price just a shade over $20K. You can also do Miss State, which is dirt cheap, requiring only about 30 cr. hr. @ $370/cr. hr. so long as you have the necessary UG courses in acctng, finance, econ, and mgmnt. I can't imagine that 30 cr hr can't be completed in less than 1.5 yrs. The University of TX system MBA can be completed in 1.5 yrs if you're willing to do 16 cr. hr./sem. For TX residents, it's about $10K, all others pay about $23K. If you happen to live in Indiana, Ball State is dirt cheap (about $7K) and can be completed in-state via distance at interactive learning sites, ditto the University of Montana (in-state, dirt cheap, interactive sites). There are other options, check out the BW and USN online guides to DL MBAs, there should be at least a dozen that fit your criteria. Cameron's not junk, but if you want an inexpensive degree, completable in 1 1/2 yrs with a portable reputation, you can do better.

There's also the Georgia State MBA, sponsored by a consortium of 5 Georgia schools, fully AACSB-accredited. So long as you have the basic UG biz courses, it requires only 10 courses to complete and takes 1 1/2 yrs. Cost is in the $15K-$16K range.

I of course have to recommend my school--Morehead State University, 36 hour program, $411 per hour ($14,796 total if no pre-reqs), and AACSB accredited.
