Hi all I'm a newbe at this site. I have a few question if anyone has any experiences that they can share with me it would be great.

I've been researching programs for an MBA in Healthcare Administration or Health Science. Has anyone here graduated from an accrediated program or currently enrolled into a program like this?

I'm looking to do something as fast and cheeply as possible (aren't we all) I don't recieve tuition re-embursment from my employeer and I've come across a few programs that are half the price of others. Has anyone come across a good accrediated general Masters program for a decent price? I don't want to put myself deeply in debt just to further my education that may or may not help me in my career.

I'm up for any info to help me in my final decision.

    Thanks!

    Hi Sara,

This isn't an MBA but a Masters in Public Health that allows you to specialise in Health Services Management.

It's from London School of Hygiene & Tropical Medicine and has a total cost of £8,320 (approx USD$15,500).

Although it is new this year. It is actually a redvelopment of a course in Health Systems Management that has been running since the early 90's.

For further info see http://www.londonexternal.ac.uk/. If you have any questions email our Information Centre [email protected].

    Hi Sara,

I graduated from California College for Health Sciences last year with a Master of Science in Community Health. CCHS is accredited by DETC.

CCHS offers an MBA in Health Care.

Some on here will not speak highly of the school. I enjoyed my program very much and feel I received an excellent education. I had some logistical problems about midway through because the school changed owners and it took a while to get everything organized. Once all the logistical problems were resolved, things went smoothly again.

The tuition is very reasonable and CCHS offers a number of financial plans.

    I hope this helps.

Hi Sara - This is not my area but you could try looking at the Masters programs at these schools:
    Florida Institute of Technology
    Golden Gate University
    Rochester Institute of Technology
    Seton Hall University
    Trinity University (Texas)
    Univ. of California - Irvine
    Univ. of Colorado - Denver
    Univ. of St. Francis (Illinois)
    Best wishes,
    Jack

    Queen Margaret University College

Another option is the MBA in Healthcare Management offered by Queen Margaret University College in Edinburgh, Scotland. This is an institution accredited by Royal Charter, a 100% DL program, and the cost is 5,000 GBP or less (under $10,000 USD). The web site is:

    I hope this is helpful!

Not necessarily cheaper but Baker College Online (www.baker.edu), Grand Canyon University (www.gcu.edu), and American Public University System (www.APUS.edu) all have MBA programs in healthcare.

I am one of CCHS's unhappy customers but I won't get into that now.:D
