I have a friend interested in a BA in Philosophy. I know University of Illinois at Springfield has one. I also know about UoL, and the big 3. Any others?

I did a search, but couldn't find any other programs. I found tons of courses, but no other programs.

    Thanks,

Thanks for this information. The only DL BA in philosophy that I was really aware of was the U. of London (and probably UNISA which I've never looked at). I had no idea that these other schools offered them.

I've noticed that you post these interesting lists of schools in response to inquiries and you almost always include programs new to me. I'm curious: where are you getting this stuff? Did you create your own private database or are you using publicly available DL program-listings?

Well, they may well have a bachelors level program, but I didn't get past the tuition page... pretty expensive at $528 per credit for out of state.
Seriously, they have a nice program which can be found here:http://www.cnu.edu/phil/philatcnu.html#online

Their program does look interesting, but it is Philosophy/Politics/Economics. Not a pure philosophy degree, but still intriguing.

Couldn't find any bachelors level program here in philosophy

offers a minor in philosophy only

    couldn't find any philosophy program

I could only find a Masters level program in philosophy

Couldn't find a philosophy program here either.

I could only find DL courses, not programs. Each course, for international students was $1138 CDN

Should have thought of this one myself. Thanks for reminding me. Nothing to argue about here.

I didn't find a philosophy program per se.. but their independent studies program seems to be pretty pliable and able to accomodate most topics of interest.

Thanks Jack, I do appreciate the leads. I think most of them might be dated, unless I am just looking in the wrong places. If I come across some others I will certainly post them.

    thanks,

Well some of it has just come from surfing through a whole bunch of university websites. After a bit of practice you can get through a website pretty fast, especially if you don't stop to read all the interesting stuff but just go after the DL programs. It helps that I'm exclusively a Humanities/Arts guy. If I had to list all those MBA programs I'd take me quite a while. Right now I'm making a list of non-US Sociology grad programs. I've also got a list of English Lit. grad programs (also non-US). There are not that many schools on either list. As you might guess, these lists are primarily for myself, programs I might consider considering. I should mention, however, that my first stop in making my lists is my Bears Guide. I've only got a copy of the 14th edition and so that may be why, as Clint suggested, that some of the listings are out of date.

The University of New England, Australia does indeed offer an undergraduate program in Philosophy

Course descriptions are here. Note that UNE has 48pt years (Australia does not have a standard unit length, and besides 48 divides more easily into integers than 30).

    Information for their BA.

They have a long history in Distance Education (>50 yrs) and have offerings in most of the Arts/Humanities areas. There are residencies for some courses, some of which are compulsary.

Thanks, I wasn't able to ascertain from their web site that it was a DL degree. I could find the philosophy stuff and the BA stuff, but nothing that spoke of doing it DL.

    I appreciate it.

American Military University offers a Philosophy Bachelor degree.
It seems like there is at least one more out there.
