I am interested in taking the Computer Science GRE.
Can anyone recommend some good study guides? I'm also planning to take the Psycology GRE(Using Princeton Review-suggested by some on old deja.com)

    PS
Wanted to thank L.Miller+T.Head(esp. for posting transcript)and everyone else for their contributions. I started out the year with only 9 Credits(from the local college). I've been taking CLEP and Dantes since January. At the end of this month
I will have completed my 60cr. for my AA.
    Thanks for your help guys!

I used the ETS guide, "GRE: Practicing to Take the Computer Science Test", which was quite good. I also used the REA "The Best Test Preparation for the GRE Computer Science", which was poor -- lots of typoes and other errors.

When I took the test (late last year) I found the actual test had much more about modern computer architecture than the practice tests. I was clueless about these questions. Nevertheless, I scored at the 86th percentile despite having never taken a Computer Science course (except an intro programming class).

Sorry, the "ton" of bad reviews was for the"Best Test Prep" Book.

In addition to the ETS guide, I also got another example exam from ETS when I registered. Between these two, I was able to identify areas where I was lost, and I then went to the local college library and reviewed the relevant topics. The one area I missed was that of computer architecture (block diagram level), which was more heavily represented in the actual test than in the samples.

The REA book was mostly a waste of time, since the questions weren't all that similar to those on the actual test.
