I currently have two associate degrees, one in electronics and the other in computer science. I am now looking to upgrade to a bachelor of science degree. I came across a degree completion program from Geneva college. They offer a bachelor of science degree in human resources. They accepted 40 of my technical credits and have now met all of their entrance requirements. It is a 15 month program meeting one night a week for four hours. Due to family and monetary constraints, these features have attracted me to Geneva college. My only reservation has to do with the human resources major. I am seeking current or former students enrolled in this or similar programs. I would also request feedback on options other than this program and employment possibilities with a human resources degree. Any input would be appreciated.
Well there is a branch of HR deals with technology. Usually it is known as HRIS (human resource information systems). That would blend in well with your computer science background. See http://www.shrm.org/hrtx/ . Other than that, to most employers, a bachelors is a bachelors regardless of what the actual major was as long as you have the experience they are looking for.
