ACCREDITATION The European Business School, Open Campus of the Irish International University is fully accredited by the University of Cambridge - International Examinations and officially recognised as the Cambridge International Associate Partner. http://www.cie.org.uk/CIE/WebSite/WorkingWithCIE/associatepartners/ebs.jsp A co-worker sent me this link. Usually I don't like to talk about sub standard school but this one got me confused. Maybe that’s the purpose Learner
I thought that there was already a Euorpean Business School in London http://www.ebslondon.ac.uk/ This really confounds the problem. I don't think the Irish International University is a very reputable institution under the guise of the Education Ministry in Ireland, so one should be careful of such claims from such websites.
Mmm, its all weird to me. I could swear that is our old mate Jeff Wooller at http://www.iiuedu.ie/view.php?v=1,1,1 Has he changed his name? Cheers, George
How many universities can Ascension Island support? Note the other website: http://www.ebscambridge.ac/ Malcolm S Jenner
The "commendations" are hilarious. At first glance this looks like a page in which illustrious people are praising or thanking the university for their work. But when you look at the letters, they tell a different story. For example, the text of the "Thank You Letter from Richard Balfe, Member of The European Parliament" is as follows: Thank you for the invitation to your third European Graduate on 21st September. I will not be able to attend. I will be in London, but putting on "Formal Black Tie" in the middle of a Saturday afternoon is just not possible. In other words: thanks, but you must be joking!
IIU Website We are in the process of cleaning up the website which I think leaves much to be desired in terms of content, English, lay out etc. I think there is scope to reduce by two thirds and still have more than sufficient to have a busy site. It is difficult to see why some of the letters were put in there in the first place. I do not have any executive powers at the IIU but I have volunteered to try to clean up the website. Whether they will agree to swingeing changes remains to be seen. I think that most students have gone to the IIU despite the website rather than because of it!
