    Hi,

I am currently looking for a MBA degree to help my career. I would like to work while studying so online college is ideal.

After doing diligently search, I have hard time to decide which is the best college for me. I appreciate anyone give suggestion and share experience for college with the following condition:
    1. RA
    2. Be able to complete MBA in 1 to 1.5 year while WORKING
    3. Total cost <18k

    Thanks,
    Keith

If you can afford up to $18K, I would suggest Texas A&M - Commerce, an AACSB online MBA program. It needs only 10 courses if you meet certain background requirement. Try to take a look at the program, see whether it fits your needs. It's in my DL MBA list, along with many others. Good luck.

You should look into Mississippi State University's DL MBA. The cost is $11,220 for 30 hours if you don't have to take any of the prerequisites. Also it is AACSB and from a well-known university with name recognition.

If your not worried about name recognition and just want RA accredited, then you might want to look at Amberton University. At $7200 it is one of the cheapest RA Distance MBA's out there. Amberton is a respected B&M university and has been around a while, but not well known outside of Texas.

Thanks for the information. Can someone working full time finish MBA with 1.5 year for those schools?

    Thanks,
    Keith

  5. Cal State Dominguez Hills can be completed in 15 months, is RA and inexpensive. If you don't need any pre-req courses it should come in at around $10K.

This is one program I'm considering along with Marist College http://www.marist.edu/management/mba/emba.html. Marist is more expensive (more like the upper end of your range) and is AACSB, while CSUDH is a candidate for AACSB.

    Cheers,
    Mark

Mississippi state's can be completed in 12 months, depending on how heavy of a courseload you take. Even going part-time you should be able to finish in 1.5 years.

If I remember correctly, back when I was looking for an MBA program, Baker College seemed to be the quickest. You might want to check that program too.

Baker's program is not the quickest(18 months) CSUDH Cal State U. Diminguez Hills can be done quicker(15 Months) . Depending on the situation Mississippi State can be done as fast or quicker then Baker. The one thing Baker offers is the ease of taking classes. They offer their MBA program in 6 week terms so that one class is considered full time. ALso because of the credit difference CSUDH is cheaper than Baker overall.
