A reader in Greece has alerted me to a new degree "service" that actually seems to be operated from Athens, even though the only name used (Onapolis) was once the proprietor of a dreadful Hawaii school run from Ohio. The site, while not mentioning the school from which one will earn ones degree, does recount the touching "George and Martha" story -- and surely someone here will remember which school used that story. Was it Hamilton? Or one of the Hawaii wonders? http://www.aleconline.org/
John, I just read that story and found it VERY reminiscent of the kind of advertising copy used by correspondence schools and self-help book publishers in the 1920s.
This has been copied from the ARRC website at http://www.heri.com/franks.htm where it is "Frank's Story". In changing the name, someone obviously overlooked the situation where Frank meets George, so that the copied version has George meeting George. ------------------ Bill Gossett

One wonders if Mr./Ms. Onapolis offers a degree in onanism. Ahem. Sorry. Too much caffeine. Regards, Michael Lloyd
