I would like to congratulate Mary Adams and her staff at the American Graduate School of Management http://www.web2mba.com/ for being granted initial accreditation by DETC.

Regular readers may recall that Mary, a regular contributor to this forum, was previously with Aspen University. In looking at their website, AGSM has a very interesting group of directors and administrators.

Thanks, David! Yes we do have a very interesting group of directors and administrators and I am very pleased and proud to be affiliated with them.

We're very proud to be affiliated with the DETC also.

Hi DL - No need to worry about Aspen. I left on excellent terms, and even recommended my replacement, Dolf Carlson. Aspen is still an excellent choice for many people - not many degrees as low priced with the kind of interaction that you will get at Aspen. I just had an opportunity come my way that was too exciting to pass up.

    Best,
    Mary

    Mary Adams, Robin Thompson, Aspen

    WOW!!!!

I am shocked and sadden to see both Mary Adams and Robin Thompson leave Aspen University.

I am an adult learner who had considered for many years attending ISIM / Aspen; but I put my education off for way too long and concentrated on my career. I consulted John Bear about my situation in a series of emails and he recommend Aspen soley because of Mary Adams being there.

Robin Thompson was a fixture there for years and a real dynamo! Finally, I decided to go to Denver to meet with Robin and learn more about Aspen. I was so impressed that Mary, the President of the University would take the time to personally welcome a prospective student that I signed up right away. Mary and Robin were the major reason I choose to contiune my education and made Aspen my choice. They are both great!

Currently I am still a student at Aspen and I am a bit concerned becasue Aspen has not sent out anything about the changes. I hope Aspen continues its progressive polices of the past.

Yes it is interesting, though in my six years at McMaster University, I observed various changes in management as well as the faculty (one day theu were there, the next day they werent), though not much was mentioned in bulletins t students, so maybe this is standard practice. I could be wrong however... I dont think that this is something to worry about though.

Thanks for your very kind words. Please don't worry about Aspen. It is a very good school and has some excellent people there to work with you. Dolf Carlson is terrific and at least as gracious as I am!:)

Aspen continues to grow, has added staff and is doing some exciting things with new programs. As I have previously indicated, it is a good choice for many people. I did not leave because of Aspen. I continue to be available to the staff at Aspen as needed. But, given the good team there, they don't have to call very often!

If you are still concerned, you should call the school. You'll find the same friendly and courteous response as you did in the past.

    Best,
    Mary A
