Hey DegreeInfo, Here's a challenge. After taking the CLEP practice exams in the subjects that fit my general ed needs, I've discovered I am a complete doofus in a few areas and I need advice for the BEST study material to brush up with. My weak areas are: English Lit American Lit 19th Century European History Biology Algebra On the rest of the tests I scored in the 80%-90% range, so no problems there. OK ya'll...lay it on me!
Hit a used bookstore and find some textbooks that are an edition or two back. Shouldn't be more that 5 or 6 bucks each. Good luck!
My experience I can recommend "Math Review for Standardized Tests" from Cliffs and Princeton Review's "Cracking the CLEP". Now I am studying for the Biology part of the Natural Sciences exam using CliffQuickReview's Biology. It is VERY well written so I highly recommend it. I hope it helps Shunyata
Check out Standard Deviants Biology and the CliffsQuickReview Biology. They got me through the biology exam. Don't forget to utilize the free resources such as the library. The library near me even had the Comex Systems guides. When I was taking tests I would take the exam overview to the library with me and do a comparison of the exam material vs. what the book covered. This got me through many exams. At times I was able to pick up books with the same subject, content and even title of the examinations. Good luck!
