    Hi,
I'm a newbie to the board trying to get some help. Could anyone out there give me some suggestions for a Masters degree in Educational Administration/Post-Secondary Administration ? I'm a Canadian who's been working in several 'Student Service' positions at a few universities for 3 years. I need a get ahead in my career and learn more about my field, and I think a good way to do so would be to get a higher degree.

I already have a B. A. (with a solid 'B' average), but I did not complete my honours degree. See, I have 3 courses left to complete, and I've tried several times, unsuccessfully, to complete them to get the honours B.A.. The problem is that I have zero interest in the subject matter (which is why I graduated as fast as I could) and I'm ready to move on and dedicate myself to a program that I'm really interested in.

I'm hoping that with my 'B' average and the work experience that there is a Masters degree out there for me to edge into despite the lack of the honours degree. I've found some interesting programs in the U.S. such as the one at Nova and also others in the U.K. For the U.K. schools I've noticed that they refer to an 'honours' degree in terms of GPA or percentage rather than number of years/credits to complete the degree (i.e. as compared to the Canadian system of 90 credits or 3 years for an Ordinary degree and 120 credits or 4 years for an Honours degree, regardless of grades). Does anyone know how someone in my position applying from Canada would be assessed/viewed by U.K. schools? As to the U.S. schools, does anyone know how they view Canadian 'Ordinary' degrees? Will I need to or should I take the GRE or MAT?

Regarding recommendations from professors, does anyone out there have any tips for someone who has been out of school for over 3 years, barely remembers their professors, and is pretty sure that their professors don't remember them?

I've been searching the forum, but haven't found any relevant threads. I would greatly appreciate any suggestions, especially from any Canadians out there. I have a lot of questions and I know that you're not admission professionals, so I thank you for your patience, guys.

Try the MEd[Admin] at www.une.edu.au - I think that you can get in with a non 4 year BEd.

Thanks for the response. I checked out the programs at University of New England and they seem pretty solid. However, the admission requirement for all their Education programs is some academic training or work experience in teaching. Teaching is interesting to me but I'm trying to get something specifically in Administration. Any other suggestions?
