Hello all, I know there were threads that addressed MSU, but like others I cannot find them through the search engine. Anyway, I am going to begin my MBA with UMASS, but I am giving serious thought to starting with Morehead next week instead. I like their program (available classses). My question is who has experience with Morehead? How were the classes structured? I know there is one or two of you that have been through their program. Heck the more I give thought to it the more I believe I will go with MSU. The MBA program is AACSB and is cheaper than UMASS, though I think it may have less name appeal but I am not sure that really matters much. William Parker
MSU MBA Grad Here I have an MBA from Morehead State and am close to several of the professors. Ask your questions!
The Morehead program can give you 18 graduate hours in management upon completion in the event you decide to teach this area. I don't have the details for the UMass curriculum. More importantly isn't UMass above the Mason-Dixon Kevin
Thanks Fed, lol, as an active duty soldier I have had ample opportunity to spend time in the south and I enjoy it <grins>...Cogent, I have tried to reach you because I know you recently have went through their program. Anyway, I have been conversing with Keith Moore and do plan to pursue an MBA through MSU. How are their weeks set up? Assigned reading and individual/group assignments? Do they do case studies? Are exams a mixture of proctored and take home, thanks. William Parker
You are started on the right path. Keith Moore is the MVP at Morehead State. Trust me on this. He helped me TONS of times. If you have a problem, GO TO KEITH and he will fix it. These are all standard 15 week classes. Some have cases, some have problems, and there is writing. They use BlackBoard and how the class is taught varies by faculty member, as it should. Best of luck!
Once again thanks to all, I registered for my first two courses today. So far MSU has been very user friendly and quick to help out. William Parker
