There has been years of DL discussion, and I have done a few searches and older threads have seemed to disappear altogether. Does anybody know what the time limit is before posting get deleted of the search feature?
I believe this is related to the database issues that kept popping up towards the end of last year. I suppose Chip et al are the only folks who know for sure. Some people have had success using google to search for old threads.
Me too. When I search, it will only show me the last few weeks of posts. I feel like I'm missing out on a lot of information. Am I doing something wrong? Ryan IV
This has been happening for weeks. I have not seen any moderators around lately, so they are probably either too busy or have lost interest. The search function is a nice tool, and I hope it is restored.
The problem I found was after you find a thread you can't read the 2nd, 3rd, and so forth pages which leaves you hanging and not able to read the entire thread.
Hmmm...just tried that with a current thread and it paged. Maybe someone will find a way with the older threads.
