Did any school ever lost their DETC accreditation or placed on probation? Or all the DETC accredited schools do a good job that keeps them accredited? Learner
Hardly. Accreditation costs thousands, not hundreds of thousands or millions. It does not have a significant impact on a school's costs. Of course, running a real school that is academically sufficient might be costly. But failing to do that makes the school a diploma mill, so that is moot.
Azailiah -- the South African college that bought the dreadful Eastern University in New Mexico, changed its name to Azailiah University, got DETC accreditation in short order, then lost it, then disappeared. When I informally asked the Executive Director of DETC what happened, he replied, "Let's not go there, John."
As a result, they disappeared of the nation state with too much of the $$$ of the apprentices. And Perhaps, they are living now in Europe, espending too much of that $$. A appalling act. John, any idea if the action was related to an FRAUS criminal accusation?
