I am interested in a PhD degree program in Business that is delivered in primarily an online format. I have degrees in both
    business and engineering.

I would appreciate any thoughts. I have explored (and been accepted) to Walden and Capella and U of Phoenix (but I don't prefer the Doctor of BA degree).

Thanks in advance for your ideas. Also, are ther any onlie AACSB accredited schools.

    NCU

Check out NCU or TUI. both offer PhD in business via DL, and no residency.

Is www.ncu.com running on one server? No high Availability ?
If one server is being upgaraded, the site should not be down.

There are no totally on-line schools with PhD's in business are AACSB.

With respect to your list - I'd encourage you to consider Nova Southeastern as well as the schools you listed. I'm a grad - and hence, biased - but the program has been around a long time and is connected with a substantial B&M school.

dl_mba, try www.ncu.edu. For a second there, I thought Northcentral uploaded a search portal instead. I hope the updates include major design revisions of their homepage.

Andy's is the kind of bias that you can live with--it doesn't color his statements about Nova. NSU should be on anyone's short list.

    UoP doesn't offer the Ph.D.

Between Walden, Capella, and UoP, I'd take NSU. ;) Capella and Walden would be other choices. I don't think I'd go for a UoP doctorate unless I had a specific use for that degree and knew it would help me. (Several of my adjunct colleagues at UoP are taking their doctorates with UoP--they get 1/3 off tuition if they teach enough courses each year.)

    Thanks for all the input

My understanding is that the degree from Nova Southeastern is a DBA and not a PhD.

Re: Thanks for all the input

This is true - but at the risk of starting a long discussion, I don't think there much difference between a DBA and PhD. At least, in my experience in the academic world, it really doesn't matter.

    Regards - Andy
