I will be taking the CLEP Freshmen College Composition exam in the next few weeks. Could anyone give me input on what the exam was like and what I should study?

    Thanks

I took the exam years ago, and I thought it was pretty easy. I didn't do anything to prepare, and still passed with a fairly high score. Analyzing Lit was only slighty more difficult.

The Official College Board CLEP Study Guide would probably help you get familiar with the exam format. I used it for the Social Sciences and History exam, and it was pretty helpful.

If you are well spoken and communicate well in writing, you can do fine on this exam with no preparation.

It's hard to tell from your original post but it would appear to me from just that small amount of writing that your skills are sufficient.

Get a copy of CLEP - Official Study Guide ISBN 0874477093 $17.50 at Books-a-Million. Use the practice test in there as a diagnostic.

    kd5bvk,

It depends on the exan, are you going to take the one with or without the essay portion? Some school does not accept exan without essay portion.

I bought the book, but I realize that English Composition is mucher easier than Freshman Comp. If you want to buy the book back from me...please let's me know. or email at [email protected]

BTW, the Freshman Comp without essay is a lot easier with the one with essay.
